Every artist knows those days when inspiration just isn't hitting; those long and torturous days where you just can't think of what to make. I have a solution that will keep your creative well full for a very long time!
I made these art idea cards to explore different areas of potential interest for my creative pursuits. Make a few or make a ton, the options are endless! Try making the cards on a rainy day and you will never run short of ideas for your creative hobbies.
First create a list of topics you keep thinking about but that you haven't yet explored. My list included places, nature, people, political, activism, techniques, spiritual and other topics. My list had about 60 items on it!
Next grab some cardstock or other thick paper and cut out some cards. They can be small, just big enough to write your ideas on. Another option is to use printer paper and create paper slips. Then write the words on the cards and find a jar or tray to store them in. Pull a card whenever you want fresh inspiration for your art. You could do individual works based on the cards or create a whole series from one word.
