Art Dreams and Self Confidence
Do you have a dream or vision for your creative life? This last year I thought I knew what my dream was, but it didn’t turn out the way I had planned. I spent a lot of time writing ebooks because I had always dreamed of writing a book. As an avid reader, I wanted to add something to the conversation.
I’m honestly so ready for a new year! Something about the new year brings about so much fresh inspiration in my creative life. My husband has a creative friend and he produced 350 works of art last year! When Jason told me, at first it made me upset. I said that art is not just about churning out work, and that lately I’ve been trying to create things that are more inspired.
The reality is that I have been blocked for a little while creatively. But the sun is starting to rise and I am getting a whole new vision for the new year! I’m going to get my paint on in bigger ways, and work harder to share my creative passions in a way that more deeply resonates with other artists. I want to add to the conversation and share my secrets. As an artist you never quite know where you stand because there is always so much out there that is bigger, shinier, better in some way. But I’m ready to learn some new skills, try some new things and share what I learn along the way.
In the past I tried to come up with tutorials but over time they felt forced. I will share about my process this next year but will also leave a lot more room for interpretation. I’ve also been doing a lot of memory keeping, keeping a collage journal about my life. Part mood journal, part diary; I’ve been documenting my life and can’t wait to share the process on the website. I’ve also gotten really into art making as a form of stress relief. So I will share some posts for beginners and seasoned artists alike, to share ways I use art to destress and work out the kinks in my daily life.
2019 is going to be the best year yet! A whole new vision is coming together and I can’t wait to share it with you!
