People who know me know that I tend to shy away from social media. In the past I would go months or years without posting all that much. I even go off of Facebook for months at a time, just to get in the flow of my own life and to tune back in to my own intuition. Sometimes information overload can be a lot to process, especially when you are a creative and trying to stick to your own vision!
Lately though, I’ve been hanging out a ton on Instagram! Typically my Instagram account is focused more on my visual art, but I slip in pics of upcycles and sewing too. I’ve been networking a lot on that platform and really enjoying meeting other makers, artists, crafters and creatives through the site!
Instagram has always been kind of a mystery to me. Especially because the algorithms change so much, it used to feel challenging to know how to get the most out of the platform! What I’m learning is the more you engage and support other artists and makers there, the more fun it can be!
