Art Video: Shelter in the Storm

I made my second art video last week! I have to admit, it is really fun to film while I’m painting! Typically my watercolor paintings take a few days. First I draw the work, then let it sit overnight so I can view it fresh before I add any color. I typically add watercolors here and there, and then let things dry before I add more color. So usually a painting can take days to complete. The last step is to go in and add details with black pen, and markers! I have to admit though, these lightening fast paintings are fun because I don’t overthink the color choices. This video is a condensed version of a twenty minute painting session.

Here’s the finished work!
