Summer Jam!

September 12, 2026

Well, my summer has been pretty bleak. But I guess if you call sleeping and resting a good time, then it has phenomenal! I spent a lot of time exploring how much I love my bed. Turns out I love it more than I love just about anything else. Sleeping and dreaming are some of my favorite past times! I’ve been known to have a prophetic dream or two. The thing with prophetic dreams is you never know when they will come true or if they are just figments of your imagination. I’ve had glimmers of things come true, and I also wonder if I made those things come true just be dreaming them.

The nature of reality blows the mind. Much like this blog has blown mine, lol! It has been three years since I stopped sewing. In that time I have been spinning, trying to figure out what is next for my life. I’m still drawing and painting! So that is where the river is flowing at this time. I don’t know what is next for the blog? It is hard to transition something that seems so perfectly capsule.

For now, I’m taking a pause from social media. Capitalism is crumbling, hopefully making a way for something better. I will tell you, things in my day to day have been fairly mellow. Watching it all unfold is boggling my mind! I wish we could just go to a trade economy, where I could trade my art for other goods. Or at least go to an economy that is somehow better for the people and planet! Who knows what comes next, in my life, for my art, for the USA, for the world. Hopefully there really is a plan behind it all. At least we can do our work, and love who we love, and dream.

Sewing Blog

I started blogging nearly 15 years ago, and over that time my blog has transitioned many times! Today it is mostly a collection of fashion upcycling posts and sewing ideas. Enjoy!
