Ugh! So it has been over a year since I sewed. My old sewing room has now become a storage area. At first, I kept thinking I would just organize the bins in there along the walls and keep sewing. My husband moved the furniture out, there is still a sewing table and cubby shelf. But the other furniture is all in the living room and dining room now.
I sewed a bunch of what were supposed to be kid’s quilts. It is just patchworks. Unfortunately though, they have sat in the sewing room unfinished for the last year. I keep thinking, if I could just get a bin of fabric out, I could just do some simple applique or other low impact project. But the sewing room has gotten to the point where you can barely walk around in the room. And going in there is a semi frightening experience because I never know if a wild animal has taken roost.
I’m officially having a ceremony this weekend! It is going to be my formal ceremony to quit dreaming of sewing and rededicate myself to art only. Cuz art making has been going on this entire time! It is time to give my art the dedication it deserves.
