How to Never Give Up

July 09, 2026

Ok, I don’t quit all that easily. In fact, I never really quit certain things. Throughout the years my hobbies and interests have remained consistent, although they change form sometimes. I’m back to selling on ThredUp. The key thing is I’m going to change how I am pricing things so I actually make a little cash this time around!

It isn’t really about the money. It is a fun experience, and selling there is much easier than doing Poshmark. When I did Poshmark five years ago, I was shipping nearly every single day. And my living room became covered in shipping boxes. I don’t want that experience again. I’d rather just fill a bag, have uber pick it up. I realized if you do a premium bag, it costs a bit more money but they will definitely send back things that don’t sell. So that is a major win!

Another thing I’m not giving up is sewing. I will come back to it when I can. If not today, then some day soon. I am tempted to cut some scrap fabric and learn to sew by hand. Who knows?! I might like it. I was working on donating some kids quilts, but then I found out one of the larger donation sites sell the quilts on EBay. I became disenchanted by the thought of someone ripping me off. I might sell those quilt tops on Etsy or turn them into side panels for a top or skirt.

Sometimes you just need a break until life changes shape. I’ve been through it this past few years with my health! But that doesn’t mean I have to give up. Nope…I’m just starting fresh. At a pace that works for me!

As far as visual art, I’ve gone quiet on social media. I’m working on some behind the scenes project ideas.

I started blogging nearly 15 years ago, and over that time my blog has transitioned many times! Today it is mostly a collection of fashion upcycling posts and sewing ideas. Enjoy!
