Starting a "Book of Style"

In my latest book, “Join the Upcycling Revolution”, I guide readers through making a “Book of Style”! Over the years I have done sketches and taken notes for my projects, and also amassed a huge collection of print outs of lots of different fashion styles I hope to emulate in my upcycles.

In the book, there are tons of prompts for creating your own “Book of Style”. A book of style is a three-ring binder that you put together to guide your upcycles. That way, you can refer to your book to help you create a cohesive clothing style to sell.

My book has prompts listed out to help you home in on what you want your clothing line to look like! You can even use the prompts to guide your own wardrobe style, which comes in handy if you are trying to level up your look. Having a “Book of Style” helps me so much in my sewing because it is a place I can flip through to stay on target with creating. It also gives me ideas for projects and helps me stay on target. My book of style helps me to make upcycles that are in line with my vision.
